Jay Clayton Says AI Working Group Will Issue Recommendations Over Time
The director of national intelligence gave no date for the recommendations on responsible artificial intelligence development.

Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton said an AI working group would put forward recommendations on responsible artificial intelligence development over time, leaving no timetable for their release.
Asked in an interview when the recommendations would be ready, Clayton said the group would present them gradually. He declined to commit to a specific date.
Clayton, who also serves as U.S. AI affairs chief, leads an AI working group that has established three subcommittees focused on reporting and response, critical infrastructure and private-sector coordination, and law enforcement and responsibility.
The AI working group plans to commission the President’s Science and Technology Advisory Committee to examine three AI risk areas and other potential concerns in a report.
