Putin Agrees In Principle to Resume U.S.-Russia-Ukraine Peace Talks
The proposed restart is targeted for around Nov. 10, and Abu Dhabi is a possible venue. Jared Kushner joined the three-hour St. Petersburg meeting by video.

Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed in principle to resume trilateral peace talks with Ukraine and the United States around Nov. 10, with Abu Dhabi under consideration as a venue.
Putin met U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff in St. Petersburg on Wednesday for about three hours. Trump envoy Jared Kushner joined the meeting by video.
Witkoff presented several documents on a possible settlement and urged a return to three-way talks, with technical experts included to work through specific issues. He told Putin that discussions in Oslo had made progress.
Putin also raised the possibility of Russia mediating between the United States and Iran, pointing to Moscow's decades-long relationship with Tehran.
Renewing a three-party format would bring Moscow, Kyiv and Washington back into the same negotiating process, while technical experts could address details of a settlement. The talks are intended to end the war in Ukraine, with a restart targeted for around Nov. 10 and Abu Dhabi among possible venues.
