China Opinion Calls for Wider AI Use and Advances in Core Technologies

China’s top party and government offices issued an opinion urging broader artificial intelligence use and advances in core technologies, linking the push to closer integration of technological and industrial innovation.

The opinion was issued by the General Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council. It calls for full implementation of the AI+ action to expand AI use across industries.

The opinion also targets decisive progress in integrated circuits, machine tools for industrial production and advanced instruments. It presents those goals alongside closer alignment between technological innovation and industrial innovation.
