Coinbase and several major crypto organizations reduced their federal lobbying spending in Q3 2026, as the CLARITY Act failed to clear a key Senate procedural vote in September.

Their combined spending remained above $4 million, extending a streak of six consecutive quarters above that mark. The groups had spent more than $8 million during the first half of 2026 to advance market-structure legislation. An earlier analysis of first-half crypto lobbying tied to the CLARITY Act examined spending disclosures and estimates for that period.

Some lobbying firms also ended their work with crypto clients during Q3.
