SMQKE Says GENIUS Act Could Benefit XRP Through RLUSD Use
The crypto researcher pointed to XRP fee burns on the XRP Ledger and a possible bridge-currency role if RLUSD use expands.

Crypto researcher SMQKE argued the GENIUS Act could benefit XRP through Ripple’s RLUSD, pointing to possible fee burns and a liquidity role if use of the stablecoin expands.
The analysis SMQKE shared described RLUSD as running on the XRP Ledger and said its transactions generate small fees paid in XRP that are burned. It also said XRP could serve as a bridge currency for liquidity if RLUSD use grows in cross-border payments and remittances.
SMQKE’s post followed the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s (OCC) finalization of rules on Wednesday, Oct. 21, setting reserve and redemption standards for permitted payment stablecoin issuers. The GENIUS Act became law on July 18, 2025. The law generally requires payment stablecoin issuers to qualify as permitted issuers starting Jan. 18, 2027. TokenPost previously covered the OCC’s stablecoin issuer standards.
