Kazakhstan Regulator Grants Kraken Parent In-Principle License Approval
The preliminary authorization covers a digital asset trading facility, investment dealing as principal and agent, and digital asset custody.

The Astana Financial Services Authority (AFSA) has granted in-principle approval to license Payward Kazakhstan, a preliminary step toward authorizing Kraken's parent to offer digital asset services in the country.
Payward Kazakhstan is based in the Astana International Financial Centre. The proposed license would cover a digital asset trading facility, dealing in investments as principal and agent, and custody of digital assets.
The approval is preliminary and does not amount to a full license.
