President Donald Trump said a proposed $5,000 dividend would be distributed shortly after the 2026 midterm elections, placing the payment after the Nov. 3 vote.

In a Sept. 9 speech in Dallas, Trump described the proposal as a payment for every adult U.S. citizen and said the money would have to be spent in the United States. In an Oct. 3 Truth Social post, he tied the payment to Republicans winning the House and Senate.

TokenPost previously covered Trump’s proposed $5,000 dividend. His latest statement puts distribution shortly after the midterms.
