The Common Sense Leadership Fund, a U.S.-based conservative nonprofit, paid for a full-page ad warning corporate executives that the crypto industry would tokenize company shares on unregulated venues, raising concerns about ownership and investor safeguards.

“YOUR STOCK. THEIR TOKENS. YOUR PROBLEM,” the ad’s slogan reads. It lists eight potential risks: pricing discrepancies, unclear ownership, harm to companies’ ability to raise capital, cyber theft, market manipulation, anti-money laundering gaps, limited investor protections and possible legal liability.

Separately, a document outlining rules for an OKX and ICE collaboration lists 22 companies as objectors, including Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, McDonald’s and Alphabet. The document does not state why those companies objected.
