Circle Urges Asian Economies to Coordinate Stablecoin Rules
Circle Chief Strategy Officer Dante Disparte called for fair competition between banks and fintech startups, pointing to the United States and Europe as examples.

Circle is pressing Asian economies to align stablecoin rules, arguing that consistent oversight could make cross-border payments easier while allowing banks and fintech startups to compete on fair terms.
Circle Chief Strategy Officer Dante Disparte called for frameworks that give large banks and fintech startups a fair opportunity alongside established financial institutions. He cited the United States and Europe as markets where stablecoin activity includes both established financial firms and newer entrants.
Circle also wants Asian jurisdictions to narrow differences between their rules. The company says greater coordination could help create conditions for stablecoins to support payments across borders and other financial uses. Circle issues USD Coin (USDC), the world's second-largest stablecoin.
