Ripple Says OCC Granted Final Approval for Proposed Trust Bank
The OCC’s public index lists a preliminary conditional approval dated Dec. 12, 2025. Ripple says the proposed bank would support RLUSD reserves and fiduciary custody.

Ripple said Oct. 26 that the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) had granted final approval to Ripple National Trust Bank, a proposed U.S. trust bank that would support the company’s stablecoin and custody operations.
The OCC’s public charter index lists the bank’s action as a preliminary conditional approval dated Dec. 12, 2025. The agency’s letter says final approval and authorization to start business would follow only after all pre-opening requirements are met.
Ripple said the proposed bank would manage reserves backing Ripple USD (RLUSD), serve as collateral trustee for RLUSD holders and provide fiduciary digital asset custody. Ripple also said Standard Custody & Trust Company, its New York-regulated limited-purpose trust company, would continue issuing RLUSD.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse said, “A national trust charter gives us an even stronger foundation for RLUSD and the institutional products we’re building across payments, custody and capital markets.”
Ali Charts posted Oct. 27 that the TD Sequential had flashed a buy signal on XRP’s three-day chart. He also cited earlier rebounds of 31%, 24% and 18% and identified $1.25 as a key level.
