CFTC Sets Dec. 15 Roundtable on 24/7 Derivatives Trading
The Washington event will cover overnight trading, tokenization, infrastructure and staffing needs, and operational readiness. It will be open to the public and livestreamed.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will bring derivatives-industry participants to Washington on Dec. 15 to examine whether markets can shift to round-the-clock trading and how the agency should approach the change.
The discussion will cover overnight trading, tokenization, infrastructure and staffing needs, and operational readiness. The discussion will examine ways to advance responsible innovation while safeguarding participants and supporting the integrity and resilience of U.S. derivatives markets.
The roundtable builds on the CFTC's request for comment earlier this summer on 24/7 trading. CME Group's Uniswap (UNI) futures are already available on a 24/7 schedule.
The event will take place at CFTC headquarters in Washington, be open to the public and livestreamed. The commission will post the agenda, speaker list and registration details later. In-person attendance may be limited, and the public may submit speaker nominations.
