Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin put the number aimed at the capital region at 613. Restrictions at three Moscow-area airports were lifted by morning.

Russia’s military said its air defenses intercepted more than 1,200 drones overnight, while Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin put the number aimed at the capital region at 613.
“231 drones were destroyed as they approached Moscow,” Sobyanin said.
The Russian military also listed drone activity in Bryansk, Belgorod, Kursk, Kaluga, Tula, Smolensk, Lipetsk, Voronezh, Tver, Oryol, Ryazan, Vladimir, Samara, Saratov, Penza and Rostov regions. The nationwide interception figure and Sobyanin’s count cover different areas.
