A document dated Oct. 28 and titled “Public Notice” for the planned OKXICE TSV venue lists 38 companies objecting to tokenized versions of their shares, five more than the prior day’s notice.

The five names newly appearing on the list are Walmart Inc., Eli Lilly and Company, Carnival Corporation, Arcos Dorados Holdings Inc. and The Cigna Group.

Of the 62 companies named on the Oct. 4 opening roster, 33 appear on the objection list. The opening roster included 63 ticker symbols because Alphabet appeared twice. The other five companies on the objection list—Cerebras Systems Inc., Arm Holdings plc, Wells Fargo & Company, Arcos Dorados Holdings Inc. and The Cigna Group—were not on that roster.

The SEC’s Sept. 17 order gives an issuer 30 calendar days after receiving written notice to object to an unaffiliated third party’s tokenized version of its stock. A timely written objection bars the venue from making that tokenized stock available for trading. The order covers certain National Market System stocks traded through permissioned automated market makers and liquidity pools. Qualifying venues must verify that token holders receive the same rights and privileges as holders of traditional shares. The conditional exemptions run through Sept. 17, 2031. The order sets out the 30-day objection window.

Canton Strategic Holdings, Inc. announced Oct. 29 that it had agreed with TSV LLC, a venue on the Canton Network, to make its common shares available for trading. Canton engaged Fairmint to tokenize the shares as issuer-sponsored stock.

That proposal follows a separate path from the order’s process for tokens created by an unaffiliated third party. TSV LLC submitted a notice of intent on Sept. 23, and OKXICE TSV submitted one on Oct. 4. Neither notice of intent by itself establishes that a venue qualifies or meets the exemption’s conditions. Canton said trading on TSV is expected to begin as early as Monday, Nov. 2.
