Bracket Company Demands Eliza Labs Founder Halt Pump.fun Code Project
The Oct. 29 warning letter alleges unauthorized copying and reverse engineering. Walters claimed he had reverse-engineered 97.6% of the source code for Pump.fun’s contract set.

Bracket Company Inc. sent Eliza Labs founder Shaw Walters a warning letter on Oct. 29 over his effort to rebuild Pump.fun’s contract code, calling for the work to stop and the code to stay unpublished.
The company accused Walters of copying and reverse-engineering Pump.fun source code without permission. Its letter says a public release would violate U.S. copyright law and Pump.fun’s terms of service. Brown Rudnick delivered the letter for Bracket Company.
In X posts dated Oct. 27 and 28, Walters claimed he had reverse-engineered 97.6% of the source code for Pump.fun’s contract set. He said 80% was an exact byte-level match to the original.
Walters’ plans included adding front-end and back-end code to a repository and offering contributors the $PMUP token as a bounty.
