Texas Brothers Get 15- and 15.5-Year Terms After $8 Million Crypto Robbery
The brothers forced a Minnesota victim to send cryptocurrency during a nine-hour gunpoint ordeal, then took the victim to a cabin for more storage devices.

Two Texas brothers received prison terms of 180 and 186 months after using a gun during a home invasion to compel more than $8 million in crypto transfers from a Minnesota family.
Raymond Christian Garcia was sentenced to 180 months, while Isiah Angelo Garcia received 186 months, equal to 15 years and 15½ years, respectively. Both pleaded guilty in June 2026 to charges involving armed robbery and kidnapping.
On Sept. 19, 2025, the brothers entered a Minnesota family home, bound the victim and relatives with cable ties, and threatened the victim with a gun for more than nine hours while demanding cryptocurrency transfers.
They took the victim to a cabin in northern Minnesota to retrieve additional cryptocurrency storage devices. The forced transfers exceeded $8 million.
The victim's son called police, and the brothers fled the home. They were later arrested near Houston, Texas.
