TRM Labs Says 34 Sihanoukville Casino Entities Received $1.07B in Crypto
About $687 million flowed to casinos linked to networks sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC); Tether (USDT) on TRON made up 99.9% of the funds.

TRM Labs said 34 casino entities in Cambodia's Sihanoukville received about $1.07 billion in crypto from Jan. 1 through Sept. 7, 2026; $687 million flowed to casinos linked to networks sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury.
That amount was 64% of the total. The linked networks were subject to sanctions by the U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).
Three casino entities associated with those networks received more than $320 million after the applicable sanctions took effect, TRM Labs said.
Tether (USDT) on the TRON network made up 99.9% of the tracked funds. TRM Labs also said casinos and local exchange outlets continued to offer crypto-to-cash services. Inadequate customer due diligence at some casinos and frequent wallet changes by operators made the flows harder to trace, the firm said.
