Yiren Digital Investors Face Dec. 28 Lead Plaintiff Motion Deadline
Rosen Law Firm filed the lawsuit, which alleges CreditEase affiliates’ debts to Yiren created credit risk and CEO Ning Tang faced legal exposure.

Investors who bought Yiren Digital Ltd. (NYSE: YRD) securities from April 29 through Oct. 13, 2026, must file a motion with the court by Dec. 28 if they want to seek the lead-plaintiff role in a proposed securities class action. Rosen Law Firm filed the class action on behalf of investors who bought Yiren securities during the class period.
The complaint alleges that CreditEase, Yiren’s controlling shareholder, and its affiliates faced severe financial distress that threatened their ability to meet obligations. It says CreditEase affiliates allegedly owed billions of RMB to Yiren, creating significant credit risk for the company.
The complaint also alleges that Yiren was exposed to CreditEase’s affairs through shared leadership, its reliance on CreditEase and ties to affiliates whose products defaulted. It claims those connections meant Yiren was not separate from or unaffected by CreditEase’s situation.
The lawsuit further alleges that Ning Tang, Yiren’s executive chairman and CEO, faced legal and regulatory risks, including potential criminal liability, arising from CreditEase’s conduct. It claims the defendants’ public statements misled investors and that investors suffered losses when the alleged true situation became known.
A lead plaintiff represents other members of the proposed class and directs the litigation. The court has not certified a class. Investors may remain absent members of the proposed class without seeking the lead role, and a potential recovery does not depend on serving as lead plaintiff. Until a class is certified, investors are not represented by counsel unless they retain one.
The case follows Rosen Law Firm’s earlier investigation into potential Yiren securities claims. Investors seeking to lead the case must file their motion by Dec. 28, 2026.
