Crypto industry political groups have spent about $63 million to oppose former Sen. Sherrod Brown's return to the Senate. Fairshake accounted for nearly $56 million, while a political action committee associated with the Winklevoss brothers spent about $7.2 million.

Including spending in 2024, crypto groups have spent more than $100 million targeting Brown over the past two years.

Brown is running against incumbent Sen. Jon Husted in Ohio. Recent polls show Brown slightly ahead, although most place the race within the margin of error.

The spending is part of a broader crypto-aligned push into the midterms. Fairshake and affiliated PACs spent $150.8 million through Oct. 20, while other crypto groups accounted for about $25 million.
