The CFTC has approved perpetual futures tied to individual U.S. stocks, opening a path for the contracts to trade on U.S.-regulated exchanges and extending the product format beyond crypto.

The decision gives U.S. investors a regulated market venue for stock-linked perpetual contracts. It brings a contract type associated with crypto derivatives into traditional equity markets and links exposure to individual stocks with a structure already used in digital-asset trading.

The approval covers futures tied to individual stocks, adding an equity-based product to a market where perpetual contracts have been associated with crypto. The move places stock trading and crypto derivatives closer together within the U.S. regulated market.

The CFTC's decision allows the products to be listed and traded on a regulated exchange. That is regulatory authorization for market access; it does not establish that contracts have already begun trading. For U.S. investors, the change is access to stock exposure through a regulated derivatives venue.
