Coinbase has restored crypto staking access for New Jersey users, allowing residents to stake eligible digital assets through the platform at annualized yields of up to 12%. The change reopens the service for customers in a state where access had been unavailable, making it a notable U.S. crypto development.

Coinbase announced the availability in a post on X. The stated 12% is the highest annualized yield cited; it does not mean every eligible asset earns that rate. “Up to” sets a ceiling, while access is limited to assets Coinbase marks as eligible.

For New Jersey residents, the practical change is that qualifying assets can once again be staked through Coinbase. The update centers on service availability in the state and the platform’s stated yield ceiling. The 12% figure is an annualized rate, not a fixed dollar payment. The announcement’s two concrete points are the restored access and the maximum yield of 12% for eligible assets.
