Dunamu Proposes Stronger Crypto Inheritance Protections in South Korea
The proposal focuses on protecting a user's digital assets after death and helping heirs locate them.

Upbit operator Dunamu proposed stronger protections for digital assets after a user dies, focusing on securing them promptly and helping heirs locate them.
Dunamu presented the proposal during a two-day exhibit at the 2026 National Assembly Legislative Expo in Seoul. Its display used the slogan, “The value of digital assets, safely passed to the next generation.”
A person affiliated with Dunamu described crypto inheritance as a gap in institutional protections and said the proposal could help strengthen the institutional foundation.
