Greece Sets 15% Crypto Tax on Staking, Lending and Protocol Liquidity
The law also gives investors 12 months to declare previously unreported gains, with taxes due within 60 days to avoid penalties and interest.

Greece’s Parliament approved a 15% rate on staking rewards, crypto lending income and returns from supplying liquidity to decentralized protocols, up from the earlier 10% proposal for those activities.
The law passed Nov. 5 and takes effect Jan. 1, 2027. It also imposes a 10% tax on gains from crypto sales and exempts annual net gains of €500 or less; Parliament passed the measure Nov. 5.
Investors can disclose previously unreported crypto gains during a 12-month voluntary window. They must pay any resulting tax within 60 days after filing to avoid penalties and interest.
