The Hawaiian Electric Companies are seeking a phased 5.3% increase in combined annual revenues, with different proposed increases for three utilities, in a request pending before Hawaiʻi’s regulator.

The proposal lists a 4.9% increase for Hawaiian Electric, 5.8% for Hawaiʻi Electric Light and 6.4% for Maui Electric. The 5.3% figure applies to the companies’ combined annual revenues, rather than to each utility separately.

The proposed phases are dated Jan. 1, 2027, and Jan. 1, 2028. The Hawaiʻi Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has not made a decision on the request.
