Binance France will close its customer accounts on Dec. 31, 2026, after failing to secure authorization under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework, giving affected users a deadline to move their funds.

Deposits into the affected accounts have stopped. Crypto and fiat withdrawals remain available, and the closure notice does not describe an immediate freeze of customer funds.

Starting Nov. 29, accounts that still hold assets will face a monthly management fee of 0.025%, with a minimum charge of 10 USDC. The fee will be taken from USDC balances first; if those funds are insufficient, other crypto assets may be used. Assets left after Dec. 31 may be converted, transferred or otherwise handled under the service terms.

The deadline concerns accounts held by Binance France. It does not announce a closure of Binance’s global platform for all customers in France. The schedule comes as the EU’s MiCA transition period ends, and Binance says it is continuing to pursue an EU MiCA license.
