Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said the exchange’s recent attack did not result from leaked private keys, but withdrawals remain suspended with no confirmed restart time as security teams investigate the incident.

Chen said the attacker bypassed parts of Bitget’s systems and used the platform to initiate withdrawals. She described a key leak as the worst-case scenario but said current findings do not point to that method.

Bitget is coordinating internal and external technology teams to locate the problem and develop a fix. Because the incident involves multiple assets and blockchain networks, the exchange is not reopening withdrawals until it confirms that funds are secure and establishes a safer process.

Chen said Bitget has completed measures to stop further losses and that no additional attack is expected. Withdrawals will resume after the security issue receives a more certain resolution.
