Bitget said all of its on-chain cold wallets remain secure while a foundation has confirmed that some wallet addresses linked to the hacker were frozen.

Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said the affected assets include Ether (ETH), XRP, BNB, Avalanche (AVAX), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC) and other tokens. The affected networks include Ethereum, the XRP Ledger, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optimism, BNB Smart Chain and Base.

Bitget said it has contacted the foundations of all affected networks and is pursuing recovery through every available channel. The exchange did not provide a timetable, saying it will announce a specific recovery window once one is confirmed.

The company also said its protection fund exceeds $464 million, with the fund held in publicly verifiable wallets, and that its own assets exceed $1 billion. User funds are covered on a 1:1 basis, Bitget said.
