Bitget Fixes Vulnerability After Security Incident Reaches $387.5 Million
The revised figure includes Zcash and TRON assets not counted in an earlier estimate and does not represent a new theft.

Bitget has identified and fixed the vulnerability used in a security incident involving about $387.5 million in assets, bringing the event under control as the exchange works to recover the funds.
The revised estimate is higher than the previous figure of $351.6 million because it includes Zcash and TRON assets that were not counted earlier. Bitget said the increase does not reflect a new theft.
The exchange’s security team identified the attack path and how the attacker bypassed existing security controls. The underlying vulnerability has been repaired, according to the latest update.
Bitget also opened an asset-recovery bounty program. Participants who directly help freeze or recover the assets will be eligible for a reward equal to 5% of the amount recovered or frozen.
The exchange plans to publish a plan for restoring withdrawals by noon Saturday in Beijing, or midnight ET Saturday (04:00 UTC Saturday).
