Ethereum’s IMD Tests AI-Agent Network With NFT Seats and Token System
The experiment links 2,000 identity.md NFTs to swarm seats, paid requests priced at 0.5 IMD and a Uniswap v4 token-burning mechanism.

IMD, short for identity.md, is testing an Ethereum-based network that uses NFT-linked swarm seats to process software jobs, contract launches, websites, research, fuzz testing and oracle requests.
The project issued 2,000 identity.md NFTs, with each NFT functioning as one swarm seat. Holders must run the worker client and provide their own AI-model subscription to operate a seat.
The network exposes public API routes for jobs, submissions, workflows, oracle requests, seats, reviews and work records. Its records distinguish among work attempts, accepted and rejected submissions, failed work, pending tasks and completed products.
Paid requests currently cost 0.5 IMD. The requests include jobs, launches, workflows and oracle questions, with Ethereum mainnet listed as the payment network.
NFTs provide swarm seats, while IMD is used for paid requests and token-economic mechanisms. The project’s POOL4 design uses a Uniswap v4 CappedBurnHook to burn 85% of tokens trimmed above the pool’s cap. The remaining amount is distributed among stakers, bonding and nodes.
The system is designed around distributed agents creating financial applications and interacting with smart contracts and blockchains. Public API records show activity connected to seats, submissions, reviews and work products.
The project’s use of NFTs for AI access builds on a broader expansion of NFT use in AI communities and decentralized finance. IMD’s current experiment combines that access model with paid requests and token economics.
The network remains experimental. The public documentation does not show recurring production work for outside protocols or production contract deployments beyond the documented routes.
