OpenSea has flagged more than 3,000 non-fungible tokens linked to theft and blocked their sale after a security incident involving Magic Eden and Limit Break, while saying its own systems remain operational.

The affected assets are ERC-721 NFTs. OpenSea said the flagged NFTs cannot be sold through its marketplace.

OpenSea's platform and smart contracts were not affected by the incident. The marketplace will display a warning banner on its website and provide a link that allows users to revoke approvals connected to potentially exposed assets.

OpenSea also plans to automatically flag newly identified NFTs involved in the exploitation process. The measure is intended to restrict attackers from obtaining offers for those tokens.

OpenSea will continue working to reduce the incident's impact on users.
