The XRP Ledger’s BatchV1_1 upgrade is projected to activate Oct. 9 after validator support fell below the required threshold and restarted the amendment’s 14-day activation period.

BatchV1_1 regained support from 30 of 35 trusted validators on Sept. 25 at 10:46:02 a.m. ET (14:46:02 UTC). If that support holds, the earliest projected activation is Oct. 9 at 10:46:02 a.m. ET (14:46:02 UTC).

XRP Ledger amendments require support from more than 80% of trusted validators for 14 consecutive days. With 35 validators in the current set, at least 29 votes are required. The amendment’s previous activation period began Sept. 15 at 10:06:41 a.m. ET (14:06:41 UTC) before support was lost Sept. 25.

BatchV1_1 allows an account to submit up to eight inner transactions in one batch. The transactions are designed to be processed atomically, succeeding or failing together. That structure can support use cases such as paying for a tokenized asset and receiving the asset in the same operation.

The amendment was included in xrpld version 3.3.0, released Aug. 6. It replaced the original Batch amendment after a critical implementation bug was identified.

A separate amendment, PermissionDelegationV1_1, is projected to activate Oct. 8 at 5:25 p.m. ET (21:25:01 UTC) if its validator support remains above the required threshold.

The next concrete milestone for BatchV1_1 is the projected Oct. 9 activation date, which depends on support remaining above the threshold throughout the 14-day period.
