DYORSWAP Compensates Users With More Than 200 Ether After Bridge Incident
About 1,335 addresses deposited 767.65 ETH into a fake cross-chain bridge, while 766.25 ETH was ultimately transferred out.
DYORSWAP has compensated affected users with more than 200 Ether (ETH) after a fake network and cross-chain bridge led to the transfer of about 766.25 ETH, the decentralized exchange said in an on-chain review.
The incident involved roughly 1,335 addresses that deposited about 767.65 ETH into the fake bridge. Reconstruction of the transactions showed that nearly all of those funds were later moved out.
DYORSWAP said the fake network was deployed Sept. 27 and operated in the form of a Layer 2 network, submitting transaction batches to Ethereum.
The team said it will continue tracing the deployer, the origin of the funds and the addresses that received them. More than 200 ETH has already been distributed to affected users.
