Bitget will restore cryptocurrency withdrawals under the same conditions for all users, with no separate channel or priority access for institutions, VIP users or employees.
Bitcoin (BTC) withdrawals resumed first because the asset’s withdrawal channel was not affected by the attack and completed verification earliest. Ether (ETH) and Tether (USDT) withdrawals will follow based on verification progress and stronger user demand.
The exchange said its response includes isolating affected systems and servers from the network, invalidating and reissuing internal credentials, and reclaiming sensitive permissions. Critical actions will require approval from multiple employees.
Bitget also notified third-party security providers about the vulnerability and stopped using related functions until fixes are completed. The exchange plans to add independent verification to every withdrawal as services are restored.
