Fake GIWA Bridge Drains More Than $2 Million From DYORSWAP Users
The fraudulent bridge received about 767.65 ETH from 1,335 addresses, while DYORSWAP paid more than 200 ETH in compensation.

A fraudulent bridge posing as GIWA drained 766.25 Ether (ETH), worth about $2 million, from DYORSWAP users after the decentralized exchange initially treated the network as legitimate.
The bridge received about 767.65 ETH from 1,335 addresses, according to DYORSWAP’s reconstruction. The exchange said its own contracts were not compromised and that it is tracing the bridge deployer, funding sources, suspected test wallets and addresses that received the funds.
DYORSWAP said it used its own funds to pay more than 200 ETH in compensation to affected users.
GIWA warned that its mainnet has not launched and that purported mainnet connection details circulating online were false. GIWA is an Ethereum layer-2 network developed by Dunamu, the operator of South Korean crypto exchange Upbit.
Dunamu introduced GIWA’s Sepolia test network in September 2025, built with Optimism’s OP Stack. The incident highlights the risk of connecting wallets or applications to networks before their official launch.
