NEAR Intents Identifies More Than $50 Million in Transfers Linked to Bitget Attack
Only about $166,000 in attempted transfers was completed, while another $503,000 was frozen and remains restricted.

NEAR Intents identified more than $50 million in attempted transfers linked to the Sept. 24 Bitget attack, but only about $166,000 passed through its system, limiting the flow of funds tied to the incident.
Its SHIELD risk-detection system flagged the activity after filtering duplicate transactions. Approximately $503,000 was frozen during execution and remains restricted pending legal and asset-recovery procedures.
Bitget’s affected assets were estimated at approximately $387.5 million. Much of the cross-chain movement eventually gathered on Ethereum and was converted into Ether (ETH), increasing the importance of cross-chain monitoring in tracing the stolen funds.
