Polygon Chain staking rewards are expected to rise to 7.7% on Oct. 1, with the increase funded by accumulated network fees under a Polygon Foundation plan.

The plan calls for 27.3 million Polygon (POL) in priority fees to be used to increase rewards for stakers over the following two months. The distribution is outlined under Polygon Improvement Proposal 92, or PIP-92.

The planned increase is scheduled to begin Oct. 1.
