About 2,700 Zcash (ZEC) tied to the Bitget theft has begun moving into Zcash’s Ironwood shielded pool, complicating efforts to trace the stolen funds.
The transferred coins are worth roughly $3.8 million. The movement was attributed to a suspected North Korea-linked attacker by blockchain investigator ZachXBT.
Bitget’s hot wallet previously lost about 18,900 ZEC, valued at approximately $28.3 million. The latest transfer represents roughly 14% of the stolen amount.
Ironwood is Zcash’s shielded pool, where the transferred funds are being placed as the investigation continues.
