A wallet associated with the Bitget theft sent 2,746 Zcash (ZEC), valued at about $3.9 million, into the cryptocurrency’s Ironwood shielded pool as other conversion routes tightened.

Three transactions moved the funds between 4:15 and 4:46 a.m. ET (08:15–08:46 UTC) on Sept. 30. The amount represents about 15% of the approximately 18,917 ZEC previously received by an attacker-linked wallet.

Ironwood conceals sender, recipient and transaction-value details after funds enter the pool. Deposits and later withdrawals to public addresses remain visible, but the protocol does not expose a direct connection between them.

The transfers followed NEAR Intents’ disclosure that its SHIELD system had identified more than $50 million in attempted flows connected to the Bitget theft. About $503,000 was frozen during execution, while approximately $166,000 passed through. Rejected funds later moved toward other providers, so the more-than-$50 million figure does not represent recovered assets.

Bitget detected the breach at 2:31 p.m. ET (18:31 UTC) on Sept. 24. The exchange initially estimated losses at $351.6 million before revising the figure to $387.5 million after including additional Zcash and TRON assets.
