MetaMask Withdraws Affected Validators After Infrastructure Incident

The company said it has found no evidence of a direct threat to MetaMask wallets and is coordinating with customers, partners and security advisers.

MetaMask said a security incident affected part of its infrastructure and prompted the company to withdraw impacted validators from its noncustodial staking business as a precaution.

The wallet provider said it has not identified signs that the incident directly threatens MetaMask wallets. It is coordinating with affected customers, partners and security advisers while it removes the validators involved.

MetaMask said it will provide additional updates when appropriate.
