Crypto Security Losses Reach $1.26 Billion in Third Quarter

The quarter recorded 247 security incidents, a 12.8% increase from the second quarter. Losses rose from $819.4 million.

Crypto security incidents caused about $1.26 billion in losses during the third quarter, a 53.9% increase from the $819.4 million recorded in the second quarter.

There were 247 incidents during the quarter, 12.8% more than in the prior three-month period. The incident count and loss total both increased quarter over quarter.
