NEAR Intents committed to fully reimburse users affected by a security incident with preliminary losses of about $3.8 million, while transfers on some networks remain paused.

The vulnerability involved an interaction between Omni’s deposit and withdrawal infrastructure and a NEAR Intents smart contract. The contract-side flaw has been fixed, but transfers on some networks — including BSC, Polygon, TON, Optimism and Avalanche — are expected to remain suspended for about 12 hours.

NEAR Intents and near.com were expected to resume service in about one hour. The incident has been reported to law enforcement, and the team is tracking the affected funds and attempting to recover them.

NEAR Intents supports cross-network asset transfers through infrastructure that connects other blockchains with NEAR. The $3.8 million figure is preliminary.
