NEAR Intents suspended services after a vulnerability involving its smart contract and Omni’s deposit and withdrawal systems caused a preliminary estimated loss of about $3.8 million.
The team said the contract vulnerability has been patched and it will compensate affected users in full. It did not provide a confirmed restoration time for the affected services.
Deposits and withdrawals involving BSC, Polygon, TON, Optimism, Avalanche, Stellar, Monad, LayerX, Adi, Scroll and Plasma were expected to remain unavailable for about 12 hours during repairs to Omni’s systems.
NEAR Intents supports swaps across blockchain networks. The incident affected infrastructure connecting Omni’s deposit and withdrawal systems with the NEAR Intents smart contract.
