Drift Foundation has opened claims and redemptions for users whose losses were verified in an April 1 security incident that resulted in about $295 million in stolen assets.

Eligible users can claim one DFX for each USDT of verified loss. Each token represents a claim on the Recovery Pool, which currently holds about 3.11 million USDT.

The pool is slated to receive part of Velocity’s daily net protocol revenue, up to 127.5 million USDT in matching funds from Tether, up to 20 million USDT from strategic partners and any assets recovered later.

DFX holders can redeem tokens for USDT based on the pool’s balance divided by the number of DFX still outstanding. Redeemed tokens will be destroyed, and the transaction cannot be reversed.

The claims window closes Jan. 1, 2028, at 00:00 UTC. Any DFX left unclaimed at that deadline will be destroyed.
