NEAR Intents has given a person it says it identified as responsible for a security breach 48 hours to return funds tied to about $3.8 million in user losses.

General Manager Alex Shevchenko said the team had confirmed the person’s identity and published three wallet addresses for returning Bitcoin (BTC), BNB and Solana (SOL). He framed the deadline as a final opportunity to return the funds through a responsible disclosure process.

NEAR Intents paused related services Thursday after discovering a vulnerability involving the infrastructure for Omni deposits and withdrawals interacting with its smart contracts. The 48-hour window is the next stated step in the incident response.
