Armed Robbers Demanded Cryptocurrency From Birmingham Couple

Three men forced their way into a couple’s home in Smith Wood, Birmingham, on Dec. 13, 2025, and demanded a large cryptocurrency transfer while a fourth person directed them over a video call.

The men got out of a nearby vehicle as the couple returned and opened the door. The husband was beaten and seriously injured, while his pregnant wife was threatened with a knife.

The attackers left with cryptocurrency and several high-value watches. They fled in a vehicle suspected to be a black BMW X3.

Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information that ultimately results in those involved being arrested and convicted.
