Velocity Opens DFX Claims for Users Affected by April Attack

Claimants receive one DFX for each USDT lost, redeemable at about 0.0104 USDT per token. The pool holds about 3.11 million USDT.

Velocity, a Solana ecosystem perpetuals exchange formerly Drift, has opened compensation claims for users affected by an April attack that cost Drift about $295.4 million, with current redemptions covering roughly 1% of reported losses.

Each 1 USDT lost entitles an eligible claimant to one DFX token. Each DFX is currently redeemable for about 0.0104 USDT, and the compensation pool holds about 3.11 million USDT.

The pool will receive ongoing protocol revenue. Tether has committed up to 127.5 million USDT to support the exchange’s restart and user compensation.

DFX has a total supply of about 299.5 million tokens, with no further issuance planned. Claims close Jan. 1, 2028.
