XLS-100 remains marked Draft, with code size limits and execution fees still open for a proposed XRP Ledger feature that would add programmable conditions to escrows.

The proposal was last updated June 22, 2026. It describes compiled WebAssembly (WASM) code stored in escrow objects as an additional condition for completing an escrow.

Escrows using bytecode would need a CancelAfter time. The code could read ledger objects, but it could not change other ledger objects or create transactions.

XRP Ledger already supports escrow releases based on time or cryptographic conditions. XLS-100 proposes custom code as another option, with potential uses including notary approvals, compliance holds and conditional peer-to-peer transactions.

The proposal leaves the bytecode size limit and exact transaction fee for executing escrow code unspecified. XLS-100 remains a proposal, and no mainnet availability or activation date is established.
