Meta’s Muse Ranks No. 1 in U.S. Productivity App Chart
The free AI agent is available on iOS, Android and the web, while Meta tests subscriptions and business integrations without disclosing users or revenue.

Meta’s Muse personal AI agent has reached No. 1 in Apple’s U.S. Productivity app chart, giving the company an early measure of adoption as it develops the product for consumers and businesses.
The free iPhone app listing displayed 103,000 ratings and a 4.9-star score when it was collected. It also showed in-app purchases. Active users, retention, paid conversion and Muse revenue have not been disclosed.
Meta introduced Muse on Sept. 8, 2026, as an agent that can complete tasks instead of only answering questions. Muse is available in the United States on iOS, Android and muse.ai, with free access for most uses and subscription plans for higher usage.
The agent can handle tasks involving email, calendars, shopping and travel. Its dedicated Muse Secure VM requires user approval for sensitive actions, including sending email and making purchases.
Meta announced Muse for Small Business on Sept. 29, 2026, with connections to Asana, Box, Canva, Dropbox, Figma, Intuit QuickBooks, Notion, Shopify, Slack, Stripe and Zoom. Muse for Small Business does not publish, send or spend without user approval.
The product is also expanding across Meta’s ecosystem, including AI glasses and business software. That expansion could give Meta additional opportunities for subscription, transaction or business revenue, although no such revenue streams have been disclosed.
Meta reported $60.80 billion in revenue for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, including $59.36 billion from advertising. It reported $31.08 billion in capital expenditures, including principal payments on finance leases, for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.
Substantially all of Meta’s revenue was generated from advertising on Facebook and Instagram as of June 30, 2026. The company’s financial results show that any future contribution from Muse would develop alongside an existing advertising business rather than replace an established revenue stream.
Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said, “AI is accelerating our core business today, powering our next generation of products, and opening the door to entirely new enterprise opportunities.”
The App Store ranking signals interest in Muse, but it does not show how long the app has held the position or whether users will continue returning after initial use. Its prospects depend on whether users return, pay for higher usage and trust the agent with sensitive tasks.
