Chainlink launched CCIP Vault Adapters, enabling DeFi vaults deployed on one network to accept deposits from more than 80 blockchains without separate deployments on each chain.

The first implementation targets ERC-4626 vaults, a widely used standard for tokenized vaults. Deposits can arrive from other networks while accounting, governance and risk controls remain on the vault’s primary chain.

The adapters use Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol for cross-chain messaging and token transfers. The design allows a vault to maintain its core operations on one network while accepting deposits from multiple chains.

The launch follows Chainlink’s CCIP 2.0 upgrade, which added optional cross-chain verification and configurable transfer controls for institutions, asset issuers and other users.
