PermissionDelegationV1_1 is designed to let XRP Ledger account owners delegate defined permissions without sharing their master keys, giving institutions a way to manage account tasks while retaining control.

The feature uses DelegateSet transactions to authorize another account to perform specific actions. The delegating account retains control of the permission set and can update or revoke access through additional transactions.

The account owner’s master key remains undisclosed while specified permissions are delegated. The XRP Ledger technical reference also requires the PermissionDelegationV1_1 amendment for the Delegate ledger entry.

Permission delegation is designed for account management rather than transaction privacy. It does not make XRP Ledger transactions private or conceal transaction data.

Delegated accounts can perform only the actions authorized by the account owner, while control of the permission set remains with the delegating account.
