The company said interest increasingly comes from developers and coding agents outside crypto, including applications in fitness, messaging, travel and mushroom identification.

Breez said partnership inquiries for its Bitcoin (BTC) payment tools have risen roughly 14-fold as AI coding agents help build applications that incorporate Bitcoin payments.

Breez tied the increase directly to Anthropic’s Claude Code, which launched as a research preview in February 2025 and became generally available three months later. The company said newer inquiries increasingly come from developers with little or no previous Bitcoin experience.

Before 2025, most potential partners were Bitcoin enthusiasts, crypto developers or fintech companies treating Bitcoin as an asset class. More recent requests have come from fitness applications, messaging services, an eSIM service for travelers and a mushroom-identification app.

Breez said developers are drawn to the speed of deploying Bitcoin payments. Traditional payment acceptance can take weeks or months and involve a bank account and cross-border transfers, while its software development kit can be operational within minutes.

Software agents are increasingly submitting partnership requests for the businesses that use them. Breez said agents favor Bitcoin because it is permissionless, allowing them to set up payments worldwide without opening a bank account, passing onboarding checks or signing forms.

The company said its newest SDK implementation, built on the Spark Bitcoin scaling protocol, handled the increased volume without problems.
